CASACARTA
Project by: KRISTAL.
Location: Israel
Program: Family House
Size: 105 m2
Status: Concept
Year: 2015
A prototype for single family houses to be built in suburban / rural areas of Israel.
Paper tubes are a common by-product for several industries in Israel. The tubes are highly inexpensive, light, recycled and recyclable, insulating, and fast to build with.
The suggested prototype should cost around half of a standard concrete blocks house the same size, and requires half of the construction time.
Recently KRISTAL. experimented with a small scale and self made paper tube structure in Klil - check it out!
